Be Frank with Me, by Julia Claiborne Johnson, is the story of five people: Alice, Mimi, Mimi's son Frank, Xander, and Isaac. Their lives merge when Mimi, a writer, needs to write a novel to remain financially solvent after a crooked investor loses her fortune. The story takes place between June, 2009, and February, 2010, when Isaac sends Alice to assist Mimi while Mimi writes the book.Through their interactions with each other, the characters learn life lessons from one another. As a result, they emerge as stronger people who are able to live more fulfilled lives.
