British writer Sarah Vaughan's 2017 novel Anatomy of a Scandal is a courtroom and domestic melodrama of moral comeuppance. The novel tells the story of an upper-class government minister accused of rape by the junior staffer with whom he had been carrying on an illicit affair, his blindsided wife, and the prosecutor intent on holding him accountable.
